Through the medium of paintings comes thepotential to destroy and recreate worlds. It is as if paintings take on the whole world, and the individuals who are responsible for it, following their relationship. Our lives exist under the yoke... of gravity. The power and leaps of our imaginations can free us from said burden from time to time.
Painters, for better or for worse, paint to express all that makes up individuals and hearts, and the destiny of the world. There is neither good nor evil in beauty. However, if there is any mission here, it should be to show that there is beauty everywhere.
Shoji Tanka is the founder of the International Fantastic Art Association, which is dedicated to showing Japanese Fantastic Art to the world.
